Descrizione e Settori di Applicazione: | The mechanical behavior of masonry towers is commonly investigated with finite element method, that often including very sophisticated constitutive laws taking into account post-elastic behaviors and damage. These methods do not focus on the possible non-smooth nature of the dynamic response with situations that are common just before and during the collapse. For this reason, the dynamics of the medieval towers are investigated with the Non-Smooth Contact Dynamic to have a better perception.
