| Descrizione e Settori di Applicazione: | Materials recovery from municipal wastewater and sewage sludge is a key pathway to deliver circular economy in water cycle. The Research Project will investigate the optimal parameters to recover the volatile fatty acids from sewage sludge in terms of total VFA and best mixture, focusing on propionic acid as key building block to later produce co-polymers. In parallel, the energy-efficient bioprocess of aerobic feast and anoxic famine in the selection reactor will be studied and optimized.
